Terms of Service

DepthSignal is a trader platform with API access that provides market-context outputs derived from publicly available cryptocurrency exchange data. Our service delivers proprietary analytical features including, but not limited to, orderbook context and intelligence, organized technical-analysis context, composite market-pressure reads, large-order activity context, support/resistance context, and AI-assisted interpretation.

DepthSignal does not redistribute raw exchange data. All features exposed through our API are the result of proprietary computation and analysis performed by our systems.

With your consent we also collect product usage analytics (page views, clicks, session duration) via our self-hosted PostHog instance to monitor service health and guide improvements. Analytics is opt-in, retained for up to 90 days, and you can disable it at any time (see our Privacy Policy).

DepthSignal provides data and analytics for informational purposes only. Nothing provided through our API, documentation, website, or any communication from the Company constitutes financial advice, investment advice, trading advice, or any other sort of professional advice. DepthSignal is offered as a data and analytics service, not as an investment service or brokerage service.

You are solely responsible for your trading decisions. Past performance of any computed read, metric, or analytical feature does not guarantee future results. Cryptocurrency trading involves substantial risk of loss. You should consult with a qualified financial advisor before making any investment decisions.

To access the DepthSignal API, you must register an account and obtain an API key. You agree to:

• Provide accurate registration information (first name, last name, email address).
• Keep your API key confidential. Do not share it with third parties or expose it in client-side code, public repositories, or unsecured environments.
• Not sell, transfer, sublicense, or resell your API key or access to another party.
• Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you believe your API key has been compromised.

This service is intended for users aged 18 and over. By registering, you confirm you are at least 18 years of age. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will promptly delete their account and associated data.

We reserve the right to revoke or regenerate API keys at any time for security reasons or if these Terms are violated.

DepthSignal offers subscription tiers with specific rate limits and feature access, including a Starter access tier. Paid tiers support weekly, monthly, or annual billing depending on tier.

Exceeding your rate limit will result in HTTP 429 responses with a Retry-After header. Feature availability varies by tier. See the Pricing page for a full comparison of features included in each tier.

You may upgrade or downgrade your tier at any time. Tier changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. Upgraded features are available immediately upon upgrade.

You agree to use DepthSignal only for lawful purposes. Specifically, you must not:

• Use DepthSignal data to engage in market manipulation, spoofing, layering, wash trading, or any activity prohibited by applicable law or exchange rules.
• Redistribute, resell, or sublicense DepthSignal data or API responses to third parties as a competing data product without our prior written consent.
• Attempt to exceed rate limits through circumvention (e.g., using multiple accounts or keys for the same entity).
• Interfere with or disrupt the service (e.g., DDoS attacks, excessive scraping, or exploitation of vulnerabilities).
• Share your API key with unauthorized users.
• Use the service for any activity that is illegal in your jurisdiction.

DepthSignal provides data on a best-effort basis. While we strive for accuracy and timeliness, we do not guarantee:

• The completeness, accuracy, or reliability of any data or analytical output.
• Uninterrupted availability of any exchange's data feed.
• That computed features will be free from errors, delays, or omissions.

Each API response includes a data_freshness field indicating the age of the underlying data per exchange. You should use this field to assess data staleness in your applications. When data is unavailable for a specific exchange or symbol, features may return default or zero values.

• Billing cycle: Subscriptions are billed on the interval you select (weekly, monthly, or annual where available for your tier). Annual billing includes a 20% discount on supported tiers. Your billing cycle starts on the date of your initial subscription.
• Auto-renewal: Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current rate unless you cancel before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time from your account settings. We will notify you at least 30 days before any price increase takes effect.
• Payment processor: All payments are processed securely by our payment provider (Revolut). We do not store your payment card details.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. You retain API access until the period you have paid for expires.
• Refund policy: You may request a full refund within 7 days of your initial subscription payment. To request a refund, contact [email protected] with your account email. Refunds are processed within 5 to 10 business days. This right applies to your first payment only and does not apply to renewals.
• Tier changes: Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing cycle.

Starter access, Trader, and Professional tiers are provided on a best-effort basis only. No contractual SLA, uptime commitment, or financial credits apply to those tiers.

Expert is covered by the public SLA schedule and claim process described in our SLA document. Enterprise uses a separate negotiated SLA rider with its own credit schedule, and the public schedule does not apply to Enterprise. In any conflict, the applicable SLA terms control for the tier they cover.

Scheduled maintenance windows will be announced at least 48 hours in advance via email and our status page. Emergency maintenance may be performed without prior notice when necessary to protect the integrity or security of the service.

DepthSignal depends on third-party exchange data feeds. Outages or degradation at upstream exchanges are outside our control and are not counted against our uptime target.

All data outputs, analytical features, composite reads, computation methods, proprietary algorithms, documentation, and the DepthSignal brand are the exclusive intellectual property of Ravenna OÜ. This includes our orderbook microstructure analytics, flow analytics, and derived datasets produced by our systems.

Your subscription grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use DepthSignal data within your own applications for the duration of your active subscription. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the underlying algorithms or computation methods used to produce DepthSignal features.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• The Company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, trading losses, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the service.
• Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to these Terms or the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
• The Company is not responsible for any trading decisions you make based on DepthSignal data. You use the service at your own risk.

We may suspend or terminate your access to DepthSignal immediately, without prior notice, if:

• You breach any provision of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy.
• Your use of the service poses a security risk or adversely impacts other users.
• We are required to do so by law.
• We discontinue the service (with at least 30 days prior notice).

Upon termination, your API key will be deactivated and you must cease all use of DepthSignal data. Sections regarding limitation of liability, indemnification, intellectual property, and governing law survive termination.

We do not provide services to individuals, entities, or jurisdictions subject to applicable sanctions regulations, including OFAC, EU, and UK consolidated sanctions lists. We apply technical and contractual controls to restrict sanctioned access.

You represent and warrant that you are not located in, under the control of, or a national or resident of any country subject to U.S. (OFAC), EU, or UK sanctions, including but not limited to Russia, Belarus, North Korea, Iran, Syria, Cuba, and the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine. You confirm this by attestation checkbox at account creation.

Violation of this provision will result in immediate account termination without refund.

We encourage you to contact us first at [email protected] to resolve any disputes informally. If a dispute cannot be resolved within 30 days, either party may initiate binding arbitration under UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules, with proceedings conducted in Tallinn, Estonia.

Small claims exception: Either party may bring an individual action in small claims court for disputes within that court's jurisdictional amount (up to €5,000).

Class action waiver: All disputes must be brought in the parties' individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class or representative proceeding.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will provide at least 30 days' advance notice of material changes. Non-material changes may take effect immediately. Continued use after the effective date means acceptance. If you do not agree, you may stop using the service and cancel before the effective date.

DepthSignal offers AI-assisted interpretation as part of the platform. This feature is a market-context interpretation tool, not a financial advisor. Specifically:

• It cannot and will not recommend trades, positions, or any financial action.
• It interprets publicly available market data that DepthSignal already collects and computes.
• It may produce incorrect interpretations. Data quality, model limitations, and delayed feeds can all affect output accuracy.

By using AI features, you acknowledge that:

• AI output is not financial advice under any applicable law or regulation.
• You are solely responsible for your trading decisions, regardless of what the AI has said.
• DepthSignal is not liable for losses, missed opportunities, or any other outcome based on AI interpretations.
• Past patterns described by the AI do not predict future results.
